Lolly Anderson
Laurel “Lolly” Catching Anderson practiced oil and gas law in Oklahoma and Texas before becoming a fundraiser for her alma mater Mary Baldwin College, then the University of Virginia Law School Foundation, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), the National Gallery of Art and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. She is happily into her third career — writing, motivational speaking, and now publishing. Her 2006 book, How My Magic Refrigerator Sent Me to Paris Free, 7 Rules to Make Dreams Come True, continues to inspire and change lives.
Because of her love of publishing, Lolly started Ionic Press in 2008 to offer books that move the reader estatikos, from the Greek word meaning out of the status quo. Magic Refrigerator and Scent of Life, published by other companies, are now in the Ionic Press family.
Aussie at the Skirvin Hilton, During the Ice Storm of 2007, published in 2008, is a whimsical story for children and dog lovers about the adventures of Lolly and Mike’s dog, Aussie.
