Michael D. Anderson, Ph.D.
Mike Anderson is President of the Presbyterian Health Foundation in Oklahoma City. PHF’s mission is to support medical research, translational research and commercialization of new therapeutics and innovative diagnostics that save and enhance human life. Visit www.phfokc.com.He was Senior Minister at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City for 25 years. (A small group of persons from Westminster were instrumental in the origin of PHF.) Prior to coming to Oklahoma he was Managing Director of Interpretation and Stewardship of the worldwide mission of the United Presbyterian Church, headquartered in New York City.
Mike graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary and pursued postgraduate work at Oxford University and the University of Edinburgh which concluded with a Ph.D. degree in theology. He was appointed to the Commission of Public Representation for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which funds annually over $28B of bioscience research.
Mike has written numerous books and articles. His latest book, The Scent of Life, A Pocket Prayer Book, was published in 2005.
